Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@autocollisionsolutions.net if you cannot find an answer to your question.

There are typically two reasons to use Auto Collision Solutions:

1. You have an Estimate already but it doesn't seem like enough to repair your car and you need a "Second Opinion". We can give you that second opinion without you ever leaving your house.

2. You don't have an Estimate and don't know where to start. We can give you an Estimate so you can decide what direction to go. And again, without you having to drive around and get Estimates.

We basically provide 4 services to clients that were involved in a car accident and are in need of Collision Repairs to their vehicle.

1. Estimate Review (We review existing Estimates from Insurance Companies or Bodyshops and "Re-Write" a more Accurate Estimate)

2. New Estimate (You Provide Info/Pics and we will write you a more professional and accurate Estimate than most Insurance Companies)

3. Consulting and Guidance (Please feel free to look at our FAQ's and get the answers to the most common "Post Collision" questions. And if you can't find the answer, Email us and we will try to answer to the best of our ability.

4. Affiliates/Partners of ACS that can provide you with:

- Auto Insurance (Maybe get better coverage than your current Insurance)

- Car Rental Discounts

- Alternative Collision Parts (More cost-effective Aftermarket or Used Parts)

- Auto Transporting & Towing

- Vin Verification & Vehicle History Reports

- New and Used Car Dealers

Our consultants have over 30 years of combined experiance in the Collision Repair / Insurance Industry. With years of expertise in Collision Management, Estimating, Collision Repair & Painting, and Insurance Appraisal, we are more than capable in guiding you through these tough times.

Do you have an estimate from your insurance company or the Insurance of the person who hit you and it looks pretty low? It probably Is. Most Insurance Companies are nore concerned with huge profits and paying you as little as possible, than actually repairing your car back to "Pre-Accident Condition or better.  Auto Collision Solutions specializes in writing the most accurate Estimate possible to help you get the most money to repair your car properly.

Yes you have the right to get your car repaired at the shop of your choice. However, Insurance Policies and Guidelines vary and you may have to pay Additional Fees/Betterment on "Wearable Items", or a percentage of the repairs at repair facilities outside of you insurance companies direct-repair programs.

No! The days of wasting your day driving around to get 3 Estimates to present to your Insurance Company, only to have them choose the lowest price, are long gone. Insurance Companies are all different and have different Guidelines and Policies. Some want you to send them pictures so they can write an "Initial Estimate". You can then take it to the shop you choose. Some want you to take it to one of "Their Shops" (A shop on theire Repair Program) to get an Estimate. (You can then get your car repaired there or take that Approved Estimate to a shop of your choosing.) Or sometimes the Insurance will tell you to take it to the shop you choose and they will either send out an Appraiser to physically inspect the car there, or may ask the Bodyshop to Email an Estimate and pics to them for review, or upload the Estimate to them for review/approval.

I am truly surprised how many times we get asked this question. Although it is usually easier to utilize "Brand-New Factory" or "OEM Parts", most Insurance Companies are not as worried about an "easy" repair as much as a cheap repair! Your Insurance company does not want to return your car to "Pre-Accident Condition". They want to repair your car as cheap as possible. Remember, they are in business to make money.
